Top 5 Books to Give as Christmas Gifts to Men

It can be difficult to shop for a man. And since Christmas will be here before we know it, I want to help out. Here are 5 books I recommend giving this year; I have been very selective in my choices, these books represent some of the best of the best. I am only recommending books that I have read: If I haven’t read the book, I’m not going to suggest it here!

If you are shopping for a woman, be sure to check out my wife’s suggestions “Five Non-Fiction Books to Buy a Woman for Christmas”

1.  Guns, Germs, and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies, Jared Diamond

Guns Germs and Steel

People who have read this book seem to find each other- it is one of my favorite books to discuss. Jared Diamond tackles the question of why certain parts of the world grew more quickly than others and why certain areas have more available resources. Some of his conclusions are quite surprising.

Tedd Tripp provides a Biblical perspective on raising children of any age. Learn to speak directly to the heart of your children, rather than focusing on their outward behavior. Once understood, this principle can transform your most meaningful relationships.

4.  Rich Dad Poor Dad, Robert T. Kiyosaki

Rich Dad Poor Dad

Most books about finances don’t make great gifts- they usually aren’t “page turners”. What sets this book apart is Kiyosaki’s unique perspective on building wealth: rich people buy assets, while other people buy liabilities. Much of the book is written in narrative form; it’s a story that teaches you surprising truths about how to manage your money.

5.  Liberty & Tyranny, Mark Levin

Liberty and Tyranny

There is constant flurry of political banter and talking heads filling our airwaves. What are the principles that guide how we think about politics and the government? Mark Levin lays out the foundational principles that guide a conservative understanding of how our country is meant to operate. There is a reason that this book has a 4.6 out of 5 star rating: It is that good.
